All are free to enter the Rift Public Test Shard and test out the upcoming updates but the catch of playing at public realm is:

1. You can be online anytime without notice.
2. No assurance that the public realm is always up
3. It’s a mandatory to report any bugs encountered in this Public Test Shard
4. Always expect the unexpected when accessing the Public Test Shard.
5. Character will NOT be deleted when the test ends, you can use it for future events. Equips and items are still intact!

How to access the Rift Public Test Shard

1. Download the special Public Test Patcher to access the Rift Public Test Shard.
2. Create a new folder in your Rift Directory and name it ‘PTS’ and save the downloaded Patcher file.
3. Launch game and log-in
4. Download the latest Rift Public Test Client Version and ready to rock!
